Aug. 12 – Day 08

” Trust and Fall ” game is a very wonderful game.

The group discussion was a a rally brainstorming moment . It was very interesting because every student tried very hard. When the presentation came out , every group has a  unique idea. Moreover, I also think that our team work is getting better and better. Dee and Jako ( group 5 ) even acted as a cute couple . They were really cute as Jako walked in a very feminine way.

At night we went up the hills to see the stars . It was like millions of stars in the sky. Hero saw four shooting stars . He is very lucky. Ui Jeong and I sat down and we had a great time chatting each other. On the way back , Lucia , Jack and me sang “Bejing Huan Yin Ni” and many other songs including ” Da Cheng Shao Ai ” . I will always remember the  every moment .

And this morning , I can’t help crying again . I really miss them , Kana Micheal Sanya and other youth leaders . I hope that we can meet again in the future .

Then we got on the ship . The sea is really beautiful and clear . In China , we can’t find a sea that is so clean . The sea is blue like the sky .Though I got a headache on the ship I still feel happy .

The new place is beautiful .Meal here taste great . Most important , I won’t be hungry any more ~

After lunch , we went to the beach to collect the garbage . There are many kinds of garbage and they are from different countries . we found some big plastic balls on the beach . Also , we found some beautiful shells on the beach . The sun shines , and my skin almost become black .

After dinner , our group had a small talk . In the meeting , we shared our secrets . It took a long time that after we finish the talk stars had already shine on the dark blue sky .

We have just finished our first session. Today we started our second session. In the morning, after we had breakfast we took the bus and ferry to Tokashiki Island. While we were on the ferry I felt really fresh there with the blue ocean and sky but I felt a little seasick :(. It was a 1 hour voyage to arrive at the location and I was so surprised with the beautiful scenery of this island. It was a gorgeous island that I have never seen before!!!

In the afternoon, after lunch we had the activity 5 (Beach Combing) where we collected all the trashes on the island. It was a sunny day and the weather was extremely hot. During the activity although it was hot there, but we really had fun collecting garbage and discovered some strange things, those garbage came from Japan, China, Korea, Philippine…(Those garbages are so lucky to travel here :D). After Beach Combing we had a challenge game.
In this game, we had to use corals to build the highest structure, where the highest is the winner. Because we cooperated our team very well and that’s why we won YeYe :-). That was Awesome!!!

Finally, In the evening we had a long free time to enjoy the gorgeous view and relax for the next day’s lecture and group discussion. I am really enjoying this island and the accommodation is very nice!

Aug. 10 – Day 06

Today was a day full of activities and learning. First, the unforgettable marshmallow activity. We were excited and had a mixed set of emotions too. Because of our team work and cooperation we won this activity. Then was time for some serious group discussions and it too turned out to be very successful. After a peaceful break with a picturesque scenery we went to OIST which was amazing experience and one of the places I will never forget in my lifetime.

After such a hearty and happy day we have come back and now it’s getting hard to admit but our Youth Leaders have to go and it feels bad and heart wrenching for me as I was very close to all the youth leaders we were like a family and now I am going to miss them a lot.

It was really a great day. We did haarii boat racing and it’s my first time in a boat. I can’t swim. I just wanted to have a great time with my friends. It’s really awesome and cool. Even though it’s a bit tiring. I’m really happy. We went to see the back stage of a play performing by senior high school and junior high school students from okinawa. They are very hard working and they did it really awesome. They seems really passionate in what they are doing and it inspires me a lot. I even felt like I’m a part of them while watching their play. I’m really amazed by today’s activities and I’m really like them. Thanks everyone. I love you guys. 🙂

Asian Youth Development Program in Okinawa 2012 started today officially with a mind blowing opening ceremony in Bankoku Shinryokan (summit hall). I was in my traditional dress. It was a real fun doing it. Hats off to the Logistics and the Learning support team. We went for lunch after that. The food was really mouthwatering and very tasty. The drinks and the sweets added on to it. The opening ceremony was really a SUCCESS. We then attended our first lecture “Lets become the people of the 22nd century” by Mr. Muroyama. We had a great time listening to it and asking questions to him. The day past out beautifully and we were totally exhausted after enjoying so much.

23.Aug.2011-DAY17

I feared of this day since the very beginning. Thinking about the day when we have to say good bye and turn our backs to probably never see each other again made my chest feel heavy with sadness. I didn’t want this day to come, but it did…. and it was painful. It took me a lot of strength to pass through the morning without crying.

Apart from the sadness that lingered in my heart, I was also very excited for the final presentation. Everyone had worked so hard, even giving up their time to sleep but in the end everything came together and we were able to present a meaningful presentation that touched everyone’s heart. I was really proud of what we did. It was perfect.

Then the night came. We went around the International Street and made more unforgettable memories as we took pictures and bought souvenirs. But by the time we had dinner, I couldn’t hold my tears anymore. I just started to cry as I looked at the faces of people who were now my family. I might never see you again and it really hurt me to know that.

Our last night together was probably the most memorable night for me. We stayed up all night wishing this day would never end… but it did and eventually it was time for us to leave.

I made so many unforgettable memories during this program and I learned so much. I can’t even describe how thankful I am to those who arranged this program. Through these eighteen days, we all became one big family and even though we said our good-byes, I told myself that it is not the end of our friendship. Like many people told me before, this is just the beginning. I hope this program will always be in people’s heart and that we accomplish the goal of this program; to bring better future for everyone. I love AYDPO 2011and we will definitely meet again one day. I will never forget you.

Eventually, we have come to the last day in the AYDPO2011.

Reviewing the entire program, we can easily find out that during the unforgettable 18 days, we have reached a large number of achievements after all. We participated in a lot of amazing activities, we experienced a lot of Japanese civilian cultures and most importantly, we promoted our awareness of water related issues.

Back to the very first day, when I first saw the title and the theme of this program, I excepted a massive number of things we are going to learn through our own experience. After reading the schedule of this program in detail, my expectation even extended. But today, when the program is about to finish, I suddenly realize that I have already experienced so many unpredictable adventures, which I will keep in my mind for my lifetime.

From deep of my heart, the major impression of this program can be concluded by a a single word: ENGAGING! Not only for those unforgettable sensation, substantial knowledge, but also for the fantastic friendship between us participates from a wild variety of countries.

Last but not least, I hope when I recall this memory thirty years later, I am still able to feel the excitement that I am feeling today. And I am still able to hug the friends that I made here as we have never been separated!

APPRECIATE THE AYDPO2011 AND LOOKING FORWARD TO THE AYDPO2012 😀
