Asian Youth Development Program in Okinawa

It was a really good day. We went to a lot of historical places, which are both beautiful and meaningful. We climbed the mountain too. It was really exhausted, but it was really fun and the view from the top of the mountain was so awesome. After that, we went to the beach. Our host family prepared for us some water guns, and I just shot anyone I met :)) I also saw some beautiful sea creatures, but I didn’t know their names in English. In the evening, my host family prepared for us a lot of delicious food. Oto san and Ne chan taught us how to make Okinawan traditional keychain as souvenir. I sat for a long time, so I had a slight back pain.

It was a nice and sunny day. After having a nice breakfast with pasta ,we left the beautiful island Tokashiki ,where we had spent a week of unforgettable time, by ferry. The blue sea was beautiful still.
We left for Okinawa zoo and museum when we got to Naha City, which we had an amazing lecture by Mr.Takada in. The lecture about housing and farming in Okinawa together with the visit of an old house nearby was so interesting that I nearly forgot the time. It was so lucky for me to get a signature from Mr.Takada after the lcture.
Saying goodbye to the zoo, we went to Ie island to meet our home stay family. Our hosts were waiting for us in the hall. The traditional performance of Okinawa showed by some cute girls made us fell the great passions the local people had. Then we drove to our own home stay, forgetting.work and lectures. The first dinner was so unforgettable for me, which I had tried fresh raw fish for the first time in. My family had some special rules. For example, we should make a 15 centimeter gap between our beds and the wall. However, our host and hostress were so kind to is that I believe we would have a good time in Ie island.

In the morning, we went to Okinawan zoo to listen to a lecture about livestock. It was so interesting that i got engaged in it immediately.
After that, we rode the boat to Ie island to meet my host. We received a warm opening ceremony from cute kids and met the host family. It was raining but our mood could not be weighed down.
The host had a small but closeknit apartment. We were so tired that we slept very early. I love you AYDPO!

For me aydpo is very good program,because of this ican learn how to make friends with the other country.about on 14 /8/15 very hard to explain because this is about mid term presentatjon,every one is confused because of this mid term presentation.my friends and me dont have any idea how to do this hahaha.also my friend crying .but my group always try to make an idea.finaly at the morning we have an idea for mid term.and i have make an script and it was hard.but idid it.after that we show our presentation and it was great

That day was really awesome! I learnt many new things. In the morning, we had a lecture about business model. That was great!! I learnt many things about how a business is running. We even had to do an assignment.
And in the afternoon, we had to prepare for the midterm presentation. To say the truth, it’s difficult. But we all did that together and overcame it. I think our group got closer after this. This was a tiring but an excellent day.

Yeah! Today is good day for me. I have nice meal, amazing lecture, and group activity went well. I love today meals. It’s really good, but to be honest most of AYDPO food are delicious for me haha. Today we have lecture about making business model. That model is called business incubation. Mr.Sugimoto teach us a lot. He share his experience to us. I will use all the knowledge that he give to us during AYDPO and in the future. We have a chance to make my own business plan and i came up with weird business plan. It’s labor provider agency. We will help homeless , provide education, foods, and shelter for them. After that we will provide them to a company whose need labor and charge them for our profits. In the afternoon we have to prepare for midterm presentation , we have group discussion and we have amazing plan. We come up smalthy jr. Smalthy jr.is insole that can generate electricity when u walk. It also help to reduce smelly foot problems. We got this idea from Hina. Thank her for this amazing ideas. During group discussion , we didn’t have conflict. We work as a team. It’s improve a lot after conflict when we did vision board. It’s good to say that “it’s ok to have conflict because we will learn and improve.” I looking forward to the midterm and final presentation. I hope we will do a great job. This is all for today and Rets is coming to tell us to go to sleep. Good night!

I was really excited when I first arrived in Tokashiki island. It was the 3rd day in this island but it seem like the first day of the program. I am starting express myself and talk to others people. That day there was a program call KPTT(keep, problem, try, and thank). That the time I am starting to know more about my group. We talked about each other problem and make change for better.
