Today was the day of our final presentation. Everyone got up early to put the finishing pieces on their business proposal. At 9 o’clock we got ready to present, chairs were stacked, tables arranged and all were ready to present. The room was silence as one by one, our groups were called, and in order, we presented to the representatives from the government, VIPs, facilitators, tutors and our fellow AYDPO participants.
The ideas from each and every group were brilliant! They had all managed to tackle the issue of limited and scarce energy resources by developing new systems, whether it was building new machines, or starting a sustainable business. Our special guest, Mr George Hara, was part of our judge panel and lecturer for BOP business and venture capital investment. He gave his remarks in the final evaluation. Unfortunately Mr Hara could not stay for long, and after some inspiring words of encouragement we left for lunch.
After the wonderful meal provided to us by the cafeteria we had basically free time! Our presentation was over and it was time to relieve the stress of the past few days. There was piano music, fun and games. Everyone was anxiously waiting for the dinner BBQ.
We started eating early, the cool open air breeze made for an enjoyable dinner! After eating, we gathered up on top of the hill for the sunset on Tokashiki. There was tons of dancing and singing, photographs and memories. Talking late into the night, and sharing our experiences. The only thing left was to watch the sun go down and wait for the morning to come, then it’s off to Iejima Island!
