Today was the 5th day of our program. We arrived in japan, The weather was sunny. It was the first day We wore a pink shirt. We ate breakfast and then got on the bus. The bus headed to the center of JICA

When we arrived at JICA, we played a game that I had never heard of. The game was to hold each other’s hands r

oughly, while prople tried to escape that tight holding. It was the first time, I played that game. It was really fun.

After the game was finished, we listened to a lecture. Then we had a group discussion about the cause and effect

relationship between various energy related issues. The group atmosphere was really serious. I felt disappointed, I

kept hoping everyone smile. As the conversation got deeper, many interesting and good ideas were shared.

After the group discussion, we had a delicious lunch. Then we got on the bus again. We went to a unique universi

ty in Katsuren Uruma city. It was really fun. I learned some amazing things there. My favorite part was learning

Okinawa’s traditional dance and music. All the participants seemed to enjoy it. The “Kimutaka No Amawari Musical”

was also really good. I was surprised the age of the participants was similar to mine. It was a great and passionate

musical. I also learned about the history of Okinawa through Mari’s translation. lol Honestly, I didn’t want to leave.

After seeing the musical we moved to Itoman Youth Center. We were divided into four groups. I was in a group with

Dee and Karen, two friends I had made during the trip. We played games and we talked about the days we had

spent on the trip. We talked about the youth leaders. Many people were crying. I held back from crying because

I don’t like to cry in front of others. I wanted to show them a happy, smiling face. I really wished I would have said

“Thank You” It was an amazing day. <3
